Hate your having the same problems I hear on here so often, people seem to have no sense of respect any more, either that or the idiots think crap like that makes them feel big when it just proves how small they are!
Took my car down to the dealers this morning, they offered me a 'cheap' option to see if I wanted to pay for the damage myself and an expensive option for putting it through my insurance company. The cheap option was £650+vat so god knows how much the expensive option will be. I had a guy from their servicing team out to look at the petrol cap and he said it's fine but he did book it in next week to look at my wobbly brake pedal.
Thankfully the scaffolding is gone now and she's tucked up nicely in the garage again. Still thinking of having a moan up to my management company about their placement of the scaffolding at no prior warning to see if I can get anywhere with that and sending them the bill.
That's a real shame and typical that it's across two panels.
When mine was done recently it meant I would have to have the front wing and the door re-coloured to the tune of £320.00 - it's just not worth it. However it's a lovely permanent reminder of how scutty some people are!
