What's this unconnected wire for? (PICTURE)

Just as an added note re why to fix it. Even if you have not raised the tray using the 2 rotating knobs, if you happen to push a box, bag or case in and it lifts the tray by an inch or so, then if you do lower the roof, something is going to be damaged, be it the roof, tray or whatever lifted it up.

all valid reasons guys! im defo going to get it repaired, just need to source a replacement part and use that link to help the replacement process
