What's this Part Number?

Checked mine as a result of this thread and looking OK.

Will keep an eye though as seems a common failure...

Sorry for the late post but I have been researching new tires for the ///M.

You now have the correct part. I had to replace mine last year. Very easy but making SURE you have a good seal around the throttle body took me 10 more minutes with a mirror. Just to make sure.

These intake hose cracks are common when the M54 motor starts to age a little. Just like your parts guy states....

You're right there Shipkiller. I'd say it took me 50% of the time to get that seat correct and to my satisfaction. The rest was a 5 minute jigsaw of hoses and clamps to put back together.

Been perfect since fitted and no more whistling
