What's this part? Found in front shock absorber

I'm sure there was a guy on PH with a very similar car that always used to complain about how badly his Interlagos roadster rode......

WHAT NOW! ?? Found this on one side, but not the other.



Just disasembled the front shocks. On one of the shocks this was between the top mount and bump stop... but not the other. You can make out the part number but can't see it on RealOEM. Any suggestions this time?

I suspect this is also a transport block now I've turned it over.. looks similar to the white ones I found.

Due to its location this would of restricted travel on one side. The car had probably lost 35mm of travel lol.

OMG Can these plastic thingies be seen by looking under the wheelarch?

If you jack up the car and remove the front wheel you'll be able to take a look by sliding down the rubber boot and have a feel\look.

I wonder if this can have anything to do with the amount of broken rear springs we see on Z4M’s?
