Found the Pelican Parts link but it doesn’t actually say what it’s connected to/for.

yes, just say's disconnect it :?

Think it's just for the light (as in light-bulb) for the storage compartment (from memory). If you open the compartment door a light comes on, so I'm pretty sure it just disconnects this

That was my first thought but I recall that's a wee thin wire so not sure that's it
