What's the worst car ever made?

Ssangyong have built some truly odd and ugly cars. However my vote goes to the Morris Ital, the Marina had the excuse of being a current model badly built. But the Ital was an ugly exercise in bolting bits onto an ageing design and was still badly built. There is a popular saying about being unable to polish something else with four letters......

I know its now a cliche and there are enthusiast and owners clubs, but this British Leyland abomination was truly awful. I was about 10 when my dad bought his first and last 'new' car. He never bought 'new' again after his short Morris Marina ownership experience.

Marlon, I bought one it was two years old, as my wife was pregnant and I had to get rid of my Spitfire. The dam thing had rust on the wheel arches at two years old. It handled, well no it didnt worst car ever ever ever. They had the cheek to say they had upgraded it and went on to call it the ITAL styled in Italy. Cannot believe i am admitting to owning one on a open forum            . Please forgive me

You went from a Spitfire to a Marina :o
Anyway I'm sure you feel better now that you've got that off your chest :D

I served my motor apprenticeship in the late 60,s.Their were some right rust buckets around at the time, rust proofing has come on leaps and bounds.
Two cars come to mind that dire to drive were the Old Fiat 500,and the Hillman Imp.Their were others like the early Skodas,if you filled up the fuel tank ,you doubled the cars value.

May I present to you the Perodua Kenari. This particular example seems to have been finished in a hue reminiscent of unwashed white underwear.

As the icing on the cake, early models were recalled due to the driver's airbag not deploying in some crashes. Mind you, with 54bhp under the bonnet, you'd struggle to go fast enough to have a serious crash.

Rover 200/25/ZR.
I have a turbo diesel one of these as a company car many many years ago. In the 22 months I had it it was in the dealer 17 times in 18,000 miles. 10 of which were recovery jobs! The worst repair was an entirely new motor as the block had cracked internally. They couldn't even get it to me in the first place in working order. Soon as I picked it up new I could hear the racket the power steering pump was making and the steering was heavier than the QE2! Took two seperate dealers 3 times to get that right, they kept saying they couldn't hear anything or feel anything wrong! Eventually agreed to replace the pump and hey presto problem fixed!

epic pile of sh!te!!!

Yeh, I guess. Come to think of it I went from a TR7 to a Sierra for my kids (some may say that was a step up, but I did love that Triumph  )

My only experience of Rover.

Had a loaner of a Rover 25 from a local garage for a day while waiting on a 3 Series Coupe.
20 miles to work in the morning and 20 miles back at 5pm.

Parked it across the street from the garage and walked inside to give them the keys then told the guy the head gasket was gone.

Awful car.

Suzuki Jimny. Terrifying experience in any breeze or corner. Same with the Suzuki Splash.

Vaxhall Frontera came with a tow truck in front of them and a road sweeper behind them to sweep up the rust.

I once had a third generation Ford Fiesta. Little did I know the value of power steering. It was the only car I have had without power steering and being a diesel, it was so very heavy. Then the surprise of not having a turbo, I once overtook a slow HGV, never again. Never have I been on the wrong side of the road for so very long!

That's a stock photo.

Probably not the worst made but the worst I've driven is a Chrysler 300c it was awful

Interesting. Underneath (platform) it's an older (w211) merc E class (the first gen 300c I mean)

Yeah it is and I've always kind of liked the way they look too but once I'd driven one I absolutely hated it. It was the big diesel one I drove, and it wasn't because it was diesel I hated it as I really like diesels it just felt poorly made and it gave you no feedback at all. I was really disappointed after driving it as I wanted to like it.
