What's the worst bit of your zed?

Lack of proper cup holders! Something like the E46 ones (next to the handbrake, interchangeable with storage compartment) would have been ideal. Luckily the Machine Monkey solution seems to do the job :)

(Disclaimer - I only use the cup holder for a water bottle, no other food or drink is allowed in my car!)

What's wrong with the ones in the air vents? I keep a 500-750ml water bottle in there when I'm driving and in 140,000 miles I'm yet to have it jump out.

I wouldn't put 4 gallon US style soft drink or coffee cups in them though as that's just asking for trouble.

Interior rattle/creeking, it does my head in there is one bit i simply can't get rid of no matter what i've tried.
likewise again as above the seatbelt cutting the neck of ya, i had to get seatbelt pads which sorted that

I installed sound deadening in the doors which made a big difference to the hollow/cheap closing sound

Irritating emergency brake assistance on the facelift cars... to quote a certain Kimi Raikonnen - 'leave me alone, I know what I'm doing!'

My car didn't come with air vent cup holders, and I didn't fancy paying £60 for one to retrofit!

Who decided to put the hazard lights button just by the handbreak so when you release the handbreak it's easy to accidentally put the hazards on. I find it really annoying!!

Seat belts for sure. I can never seem to find a set of pads I like :x

Other than that... nothing that I can think of :driving:

I agree I do this a lot also I hate the position of the electric window switches near the door handle and sometimes when I give them the long press they go up and straight back down again or down and then up :headbang: but mostly I hate the hundreds of stone chips on my bonnet, don't know whether to respray or leave it original.

Seats, i have standard se seats and they are less than appropriate for a 3.0l rear wheel drive sports car. :x

Seat belts cutting into your neck and CLANG of the tin can doors which I must do something about very soon.

Buy a facelift car

In all seriousness, the facelift cars had more sound insulation / deadening.

I already have the sheets of sound insulation and the new Butyl tape to refit the liners has just arrived today

In amongst other things I've installed one door with sound deadening tonight, what a difference.

Not quite up to my E Class Merc quality but a major improvement.

It is pretty awesome Marlon. Gear change could be smoother, and there are things that could be improved, but nothing else about the car that fits the 'worst' category. It's certainly fast enough, comfy enough, has enough toys (for a ten year old car) and it still has the ability to plaster a face-splitting grin on my face even though it's effectively a DD. My wheels are the worst, but that's totally my fault

Yeah, we must be getting old... been very light on hoons the last couple of years... :(

It's the electric window switch position for me, don't think i have managed to press a switch without punching the door handle first :| :|
