is it just me who thinks the service inspections are a way for BMW to make more money. ive just read the list of checks and most are 'bull'. all the important ones are checked on the MOT and if something less important fails u get it fixed.

whats everyone elses thoughts on this??

inspections cost £100's and MOT cost £40, and mostly the same checks, In fact MOT probably covers more.

That's why I always get menu based pricing. The Indy can do the bits I don't want to do and stamp my book. I do the oil, filters, check my seat belt works and the bonnet opens, etc. :)

ooo CJ that menu based thing sounds like a better plan. what kind of price is an inspection 1 stamp if u do all the oil and easy checks yourself?? if you dont mind me asking

Well these guys look after all my cars, do MOTs and fit tyres in their shop next door, so not normal pricing structure :)
Just ask and you'll be suprised that quoted prices can hal eif you do all the easy stuff. Even supplying your own oil, makes a big difference, etc.
