What's the easiest way to remove gear knob ?

Sit in the passenger seat right hand on gear knob and pull up

Watch your teeth and face lol

Have you not done a search?

Been talked about many many times

PS hope the black eye heals quickly.

What they meant was sit on the trans tunnel with the knob between your legs and pull.

Read that how you like :D

The advice I got was put it in 2nd- and place something on inside of windscreen / around mirror so when hands fly up as the old knob comes free you don't need to phone autoglass.

If you're a blessed member of the Exclusive Roadster Club, open the roof, position your rear cheeks just below the wind deflector, your favourite hand on your old Knob, your other on the top of he windshield & your feet astride your old knob...

Grit your teeth... then a firm yank will do the job

Looks like i'll be trying various ways of yanking tomorrow.

Although i'm blessed with the soft top...i've put the hard hat on for the winter

Another tip put on a pair of thin rubber gloves to get a good grip and I sat on the transmission tunnel with my roof down but it was in August.

Gradual pull vs sharp tug is better. I had a fat lip for 3 days after doing mine...

Yea then try Google'ing "best way to pull off a knob" :o

In summary, firm grip, progressive pull, no twisting and absolutely no need to be looking at the top of the knob whilst you're doing it as you will suffer the consequences.

Mine was stuck fast ,so i had a mate sit in the passenger seat ,with both giving it a steady pull it came off.
