Hey guys

I'm after getting the Eibach pro springs front and rear but when I'm searching for them on the Internet the packaging is different?
One says sport line?
For example go on ebay and there are two types.

Going price seems £200 anyone know where to get a better price or recommend a good place to get them

Mine cost me £70... But they were second hand - I thought retail were about £180 ? Mine are Pro - the Sport Line are either lower, firmer, or both... I think most have the Pro, which are black, Sport are red.

If money can stretch possibly thinking new shocks, any recommendations? Looking for ride quality not firm track style

Hi Luke

Stuck the pro springs on a month or two ago. Have hit the underside of the car on things that couldn't be avoided but apart from that they seem a big improvement over the sport springs - doesn't seem as harsh over bumps bumps yet feel much more planted round the corners. The drop for me looks just right.

Can't comment on the rest of the supension parts - springs is my limit :lol:

I like them Luke. They are 'progressive' - so you'll find under normal driving and reasonable roads the ride is slightly smoother, however when you push it or go over bigger bumps it is a harder ride. As I understand it the more you ask of them the more firmly they respond. Corners feel much better, especially after having an alignment done, and (though this could be my imagination) the steering seems to feel better. I do have some rubbing issues on the fronts, but I also have spacers on and don't have the motivation / skill / time to do things like rolling the arches. I guess new shocks might help, but I'd need professional advice and anyway £ doesn't allow this option right now.

So, big thumbs up from me. On yeah, it also looks lovely and low and poised ready to pounce too 8)

My boss said he'll help with fronts as he has a spring compressor
 
You won't regret it :grin: oh ... Less fear of them snapping too obviously.

Bilstein B6... very impressed with those on rear of my car
 
Ok so
On ebay there is what appers to be two variants of the eibach pro kit both fit z4 e85 3.0 ?????

If you look at the picture it shows spring tightly coiled then further down the spring less coiled
Packaging on it says "the will to win"

Sorry to sound like a broken record but anyone else seen these?
 
"The choice between Pro-kit and Sportline comes down to ride comfort. Pro-kit's are variable rate and ride smoother for normal driving. Sportline's are linear rate and work better on the track. The Sportlines would give the better handling of the two. But you would be sacrificing some ride comfort. Also consider the amount of drop. The Sportlines are lower which means more chances of ground clearance issues, more wear on components, and more of a chance of alignment problems. That all being said, the Sportlines are better performers and have a sportier feel. The Pro-kit's can be a little soft."


PS I didn't say this, some other people did.
