Possibly nothing, however if there are manufacture approved & non-manufacture versions of the same tyre usually something has changed. Sometimes it's simply the tyre has extra rim protection, other times it can be the carcass construction adds extra effective toe bias, this can lead to a car it's not rated for feeling a little odd when cornering or very hard to keep in a straight line, etc.
The one authorised by Mazda probably mean's the rolling circumferences conform to their measured tolerances for 4x4 transfer boxes , its the same with Dunlops & BMWs being star rated & it does work .
