The fold marks don't really bother me, it's just the fact that at the side of the doors it's going green :(

the autoglym stuff will sort that right out.

you get a sponge with it that begins white and ends up green

Hhaha that's proof enough :D

How often are you supposed to clean the roof?

Just got the Zed a couple of weeks ago and the roof has clearly been well looked after by the previous owners, and I'd like to keep it that way!

My first soft top so it's totally new to me.

I use the 303 cleaner and protector....

I normally go over the roof with the snow foam once a week during its normal wash... and give it a 'proper' clean once a month with the above 2 products...

I'm with Cueball, 303 works great

auto glym worked well for me but didnt get rid of the green stuff around the doors as well as i would have liked. it came back after a week.

the proofer works really well and lasts for ages

Wife/girlfriend,preferably on a sunny day when you can pop down the local for a Bow or six then come back before dark to inspect the job :D

Arfarfarf... :P

Another vote for the AG kit. Make sure you partially drop the hood and scrub underneath and around the rear seals.

Used the first stage on the Renovo system today - no more green! Will post pics once I've done the next two stages ;)

turtle wax car shampoo, towell dry, followed by a coat of megs gold classic yellow paste wax, stand back and watch it shine !...............oh, you have a roadster !!!!!! :poke:

I'm confused lol

I wonder if the best idea would be to list all the products on a thread and then we can rate them

For me my Zed sits outside on a semi sheltered drive, I'm looking for one that will stop the green, protect against bird sh!t and protect from frost during the winter, the fold marks would be a bonus

What's best lol :headbang:

For what its worth, 303 is used for boat canopies which are always out in the elements and require excellent protection.

I've used Renovo Cleaner, Reviver and Ultra Proofer

Here's my roof after washing and drying but before Renovo Cleaner

renovo-1.jpg

Day after Renovo Cleaner, now dry and not quite as faded as it looks in the photo, but algae free. I then used a lint roller to remove all the dust before using the Reviver.

After two coats of Reviver - not quite dry, but nearly there.

...actually looks much blacker in real life now.

I can't use the Ultra Proofer until it has dried for 24 hours.

If you do go this route, be sure to either mask off your paintwork BEFORE using the Reviver - I didn't, but fortunately clayed the car while it was drying, as there were 100s of tiny black splash marks!
