Pondrew said:He had his when I had my Turbo. The turbo was a much more desirable car at the time as it was seen as being a "proper" Ford Motorsport RS.john-e89 said:Not so actually Pondrew, from memory.....the RS differed from the XR3i thus..:
115bhp as standard as opposed to 105bhp for the 3i
Beefier, thicker exhaust manifold
Twin coil ignition
Left hand brake servo with a linkage across the bulkhead for right hand drive cars
Twin front anti roll bar links from the white heat MK3 RS turbo
Thicker anti roll bar front and rear
Higher poundage springs with Bilstein dampers
Different anti roll bar pick up points.
With 115bhp it was only 17 shy of the RS turbo.
Now it seems to be going completely the other way; the Mk111 Turbos are so "last year" and the 1600i is the one to have. Fads I suppose.

Wahay. Another vote for the X6.biZ4rreMids said:BMW X6 40d - aggressive looks, great driving position, comfort and power. Drivers far better than it should.

Very similar , I dont have a sunroof or third rear seat but do have an individual sound system. Cant find any information about what this actually is or who makes it but it sounds excellent.biZ4rreMids said:Nictrix said:Wahay
It had over £10k of extras as detailed below and I part exchanged it against the red zed. A strange coincidence in that I’ve also owned a black 2007 R1....

I guess it is my TVR Griffith, I saw one in the papers when they showed the motor show and it had covered lights! I was about 10 or 11. Finally got one when I was 23 and had it since. It looks great, sounds great, has never left me stranded and never failed an MOT.
This reminds me, I'd best go put it on charge!
:worthless:
theres no way a 100% reliable TVR is real!
