Whats that other slot for ?

You know the rectangular'ish button we press to drop down the cubby hole or cd access locker between the seats, well,whats the other similar shaped thing a few inches above it which will press in quite a long way but seems to go nowhere or do nothing ! Someone put me out of my misery !

hood locks down into this, pressing it releases the hood. my hood doesnt quite lock in now and again but a little push down and it locks in place

But you only need it when the automatic roof operation fails to work.

I suppose its really a case of reading the handbook. Trouble is ,its laziness and you get a human being explaining things to you on here

true - in fact to be honest ive left the hood to its own devices and its only because i looked round the other day and saw it wasnt sat flush i gave it a little push, ive never had to manually release it thought.
