What is the part that fits in the hole identified by the red spot in the picture?
2007 N46 2.0l.
Right above the exhaust manifold at the front on the engine.

Took ages to find that photo on the internet.
The engine is definitely staying put in the Z4.
Unless the mounts really are shot to pieces of course .....
Is it a threaded hole? If it is maybe for inserting a lifting ring for hoisting engine out? oem diagrams no help as all the drawings show engine from inlet side.
