What's she worth?

I'm thinking of looking to sell my manual 2003 3.0i and wondered what you guys would put it up for.

She's been my weekend / holiday / fun car for the last 5 years - I use my Saab as my daily and the Z4 for days out, the odd mid-week evening drive, road trips around Scotland / Wales / Europe etc. I've now bought a camper and I'm going off in that more, so the Z4 isn't seeing much use now. I did think I'd be able to keep it at first, but it's just not getting used and I think now is the time to get rid. I don't want to revert to using it as my daily, as despite being 14 years old it's still special to me and I couldn't bear to see it covered in car park dings and scratches etc.

It's got a mixture of service history, BMW for the first few years and then a mixture of specialists / independents. In the 6 years I've had it I've taken it to a well regarded local specialist for any specific jobs, and a local guy I know and trust for routine servicing.

Mileage is 110,000.

Standard spec includes sat-nav and black heated electric seats, cruise control.

Mods I've carried out include:

- Denison ICE-Link iPod / iPhone kit
- Eibach lowering springs
- 15mm rear spacers
- Clear indiciators
- Symmetrical rear lights
- MM exhaust tips
- ZHP gearknob
- LED sidelights

It's just had a full service, the MOT is due next month so I'll get that sorted before sale too.

Downsides are a small scuff on the front bumper, and the typical corroded 108s. I did have them refurbed not long after buying the car but they need doing again.

I was thinking around 4.5k?

4.5k is a starting position, but may have to drop if you want it moved on quickly
EDIT: some nice toys, but just read the corroded 108s - may have to rethink your starting price

Yeah that's the only thing that lets it down unfortunately. I've toyed with replacing them over the years but could never make my mind up on what to get!

There's a couple on Autotrader around the 4k but are auto and no nav.

Looking on autotrader you'll be lucky to get 4, let alone 4.5
High miles won't sell quickly, but I guess you're not in a rush so can always try

From my very limited experience things don't seem to be selling too well.
I bought my '06 facelift 2.5si for £4k a few months back.
Similar spec with the nav etc but also bad 108's, needed brakes all round, cosmetics, etc but the guy wanted to move it fast and I was in the right place at the right time.
I think 3 litres will always sell but as others have said it's all about time.
You only need one person who loves it and you've got your money.
Start high and prepare to drop.
Good luck.

The ones that are up for sale aren't moving fast at all. Mine had NAV DSP 224 lots more , lots done and less miles and I struggled to sell her. The guy that got her was over the moon though . It's just a waiting game and of course if that one person is close enough to want to come and see it.

Thought you were talking about the missus, when I read the title. Then I saw the mileage and realised it was far too low for it to be that.
