Great work - I am really impressed

Think I might follow my wife up to Scotland at Christmas in my car, drop it off with you on the way past and then collect it on the way back :D :P

Guys what does DA mean? Also - do you use 'normal' polish when using a machine, or special machine polish? I'm going to get myself some autoglym super resin as a start for some hand polishing - will this work ok with a machine?

Thanks!

DA is dual action.. this is the preferred machine for the beginner,, standard rotation machines are difficult to use and can burn paint if you dont know what you are doing, hence the Dual action Machines (soory if that sounds dramatic.

check out the car detailing forum, or there is an excellent first timer guide on here.

Don't think AG SRP (you need to get used to the abbreviations if you're going to survive in car cleaning circles :D ) is suitable for machine polishing. There's more suitable/designed for machine use stuff our there anyway.

I had a first attempt at machine polishing on my e90 but TBH I don't think I was doing it right as the results weren't as good as I was hoping for. A local(ish) professional detailer runs instructional courses and I'm trying to get booked onto one, would be worth it for any newbie.

Doesn't look like Nova2k7 needs any tuition though

Haha thanks, this was done using a rotary and some 3M polish! Been detailing for a few years now, started with a DA polisher and then moved onto the rotary :-)

Nice Work.

How comes the car had so many digs and scratches in the first place?

2 year old climbing in and out all the time = scratches lol
