What's my Z4 coupe worth?

I'm putting my 3.0 si sport coupe up for sale as I've got a daughter on the way and I'm in need of something more practical. There's none for sale that are a similar age and mileage so it's difficult to judge what it's worth. I've been offered £10k for it by a garage, but it's worth more than that to me so if that's all I can get I might end up running 2 cars.

It's a montego blue '58 plate with champagne leather and piano black trim and has done 54,000 miles. Recent service & MOT, it's got pretty much every option other than sat nav and it's in great condition. Any thoughts on what I should get for it? Thanks in advance

I would be aiming to sell it for atleast 12k on ebay or autotrader and depending on the condition of the interior and exterior it should sell within few weeks.

Sounds similar to another one on sale here which is a year older but only 49k miles. That's up for 10.5 and not sold yet.... If it's worth more than 10k to you, then keep it!

Many congratulations on the imminent arrival Clare! :trampoline:

It's worth what someone hands over for it  as with most cars its actually getting a interested party to view in the real . 9 times out of 10 if the car is right then it will be sold .
The issue is that starting with a high price can put buyers off looking :(
I would kick off around £11250 & give it 10 days before lowering £350 each 10 days .
A classified advert on Ebay at £15 is great as you can monitor interest / viewer / watchers

I think £10.5k - £11k.

I wouldn't expect to get more than 12k for mine. (2009 fully loaded :P with 37k on the clock)

I think you're underestimating your car.

Mine is worth about 12.5-13k and is a 07 auto with virtually full spec. I think if a dealer had yours it would be up around the 14-15k mark..

Not so sure, this one at the BMW dealer is under 12k so if you are offered 10 you would be right.

56 plate - 6 months older
47k - 6k higher mileage
No nav
No individual paint
No individual dash
etc etc etc

Its about half the spec of mine with the additional seats but I think a more boring colour.

All in all I think its about right for the price but not a direct comparison in my eyes.

This is more like mine hence why I think its true value is somewhere in the middle:

Agree my trade in value is £10k. Private sale maybe £11.5k but dealer close to £13k I think.

I read your reply wrong - I thought you were saying that Clare's was undervalued.

clare, hi, havent looked at the book price but its safe to say that if a trader is offering 10k (cash?) for it then it is certainly worth 11500 minimum, if thats a trade in price then we dont know how much he has built in to the other car.. good luck with it and the new little one
