Hi all

A couple of things have come up that are making me think the unthinkable and i was interested for your opinion on value

2007 Z4M Coupe 51000 Miles
Ruby Black Metallic
Indiv Champagne leather
Piano Black Interior
Navigation System Professional
Bluetooth Phone Prep
Extended Storage
Park Distance Control
Front Seat Heating
Sun Protection Glass

Full BMW service history until an inspection 2 that was done by Darren Wood Stockport (better than BMW in my opinion) so approx 15k left to next service.
New disks all round and new front pads and rear pads skimmed.
Tyres under 1000 miles (vreds)
Will have new MOT
Excellent condition bodywork with a only a few stone chips, interior just as good
A well looked after car, not driven hard until fully warmed up, limited driving in winter conditions.

Would value all of your opinons

That's almost identical to mine - so it's 'worth' £47k :P

As for how much you'd get for it, then I'd guesstimate anywhere from £14k-£15k at the moment.

I didn't get ANY viewings or serious offers when I had mine advertised for £16k earlier in the year - although I did get a serious enquiry from someone on here about a week after I'd decided to keep it :headbang:

Would love too, my mind isnt set yet. Price seems to have dropped a lot lately and value will play a factor... hence the post

You do get a lot of car for the money and im sure id be miserable driving round in a bluemotion or the like.

mmm-five - was also thinking 14-15k ... have sunk so much money into it lately tho (nearly 2k)... i really dont want to sell as im not going to see that back

I'm sure you know this, but it's worth what somebody will pay for it. With that in mind I'd price it in line with other cars on Pistonheads that offer a similar spec and condition.

You have the benefit of having both a nice colour combination and sat nav, which for some reason everyone seems to want, even though it's a sports car. Perhaps more galling is that every Cayman of a similar vintage out there doesn't seem to have it, nor xenons or electric seats, and yet they sell all the time. Weird.

I looked at one in just this spec at Sytner in Stevenage before buying mine but they wanted an eye watering amount for it at the time.

Perhaps because the Cayman's satnav is so poor ... :)

On the Z, the satnav is so much more than a satnav, does the radio, tv, reverse camera, iPods, board computer functions and so on ...

Prices are shocking at the moment

There's an ///MR on pistonheads for under £11K, highish mileage and from Allegedly not the best company to deal with but never the less it's definitely a buyers Market.

Such an amazing car, I'm going to keep mine forever, there's nothing for the money to replace it with

I keep telling myself to keep mine.

I'm definitely on the high side of the mileage (ticked over 63k a few weeks back) so given that I've put £2k in this year in maintenance (and similar over the previous 18 months) I'd stand to lose too much money when you amatate it all in over the last few years.

There really is nothing else like it for 15k right now so no point changing.

There is nothing around for 2 or 3 times that amount that I would change mine for so I'm of the same opinion - no point changing.

I'm not sure at what age or mileage those cars start to get expensive to own but I've so far not had to spend on anything but servicing.

Based on an 07 (wasnt sure if it was or 57) from wisebuyers:

Retail: £15,634
Private Good: £13,094
Private Average: £11,834
Private Poor: £10,994
Part Exchange: £12,674
Trade: £12,112

These values of course do not take into consideration the extras so I concur with the above at £15-16k

interesting, spec looks very familiar... I wonder if having a brand new engine would add any value to it.... 8)

It doesn't look the best though does it?
