Mileage is SO SO important so they say. Cars actually self-destruct at 100000 miles and become valueless. Seriously, if it’s in good order and can be proven to have been looked after it should sell but at 20% lower than one at say 70,000 miles.
Like Pondy I do worry about mileage but yesterday I bought a high miler. A 70000 mile z8. Moonshot mileage in comparison to most of those on sale. High milers are usually kept by the owners and used. I did so because I don’t intend selling it, it was 25% cheaper than the 30-40000 mile club cars and a whopping 40% cheaper than those with 10-20000 miles. And at z8 prices that’s a lot of cash. Moreover, it had 18 BMW stamps, was Approved Used, had all the bits and was in as good condition as all the rest, pretty much. Underneath even better. And a stack of invoices showing the history from day one as it was one owner car - z8 are normally 5-7 owners. I took the punt and went for it. A similar punter might think along the same lines for yours John, knowing it’s been looked after and is cheaper.
