What's it worth?

I've just had a new stainless sports exhaust custom made for my 20i E89 and am very happy with it. Slightly smaller mid box as I didn't want it droning up the motorway and a lot smaller back box and twin 3" tips.

Sounds nice and deep, couple of crackles on the overrun but haven't had a chance to give it the beans with the roof down yet.

Question is - what do I do with the original, 60k mile exhaust? Is there a market for a standard pipe or am I better off selling it for scrap? I don't plan on putting it back on should I ever sell the car and at the moment it's clogging up my cellar.

Thoughts please

Establish it’s scrap value and sell it for that on eBay or on here. Leave it for a month, if no interest, scrap it.

More importantly, picture and sound clip of the exhaust you have had fitted, and also who made it and what costs are involved?

Trying my hardest to not give super sprint my hard earned cash

I'll try to get that tomorrow. It was done by a local fabricator who came recommended by the guy that services my vehicles. He does a lot of trackdays, Nurburgring etc in a heavily modified M3 and I have to say the welds are very well done.

As he hadn't done an E89 before he was keen to see what was possible. Also there's no further charge for any modifications I want, such as changing the size of the boxes etc.

Cost was £400 for the pipe and £50 for the tips.

These days most standard exhaust systems don’t seem to rot out..so suspect there’s a very limited market for it?
