Why? An agreement is an agreement and accepting a higher offer without coming back first is not right in my book.
That is what happened to my offer at least. Not sure who got it in the end.

Turns out that someone else came back with the asking price - not sure what else i could have done......
The only option i see would have been to come back to you asking for a counter offer to match/exceed the other offer.. now that's underhanded..
I did offer the asking price minus a discount for the RPI scoop which I did not need. I would still expect someone to come back to me and state that another offer was made to allow the first person to complete the deal or pass on it.
I heard nothing the next day, nor the day after until I enquired on time scales a few days later and I was told it was sold to someone else.

Similar happened to me on lowering springs with a different seller. Offered full price with immediate payment and collection in a couple of days only for it to be sold to someone else you could collect earlier. A little selling etiquette is needed on here in terms of selling guidines.pvr said:

I suppose they don't always get fully implemented, but we don't want to babysit the marketplace too much either, we rely on individuals.
