Manual roof? Was this an option?

Not in the UK, a less insulated (lighter) manual roof was available in the US and possibly other markets. If it's a UK car then someone has done a cheapo replacement.

FWIW I keep an eye on the usual selling boards, theres a lot of 2.0 cars for sale at the moment so not sure if that will affect value?

Something’s not quite normal as a 2006 car should be a facelift model, this one isn’t if you look at the front end :?

Seems you might need to put up some decent, detailed photos and more information to get any meaningful responses, given the anomalies already identified i.e. it is apparently an 06 with a pre facelift front end… and it has a manual roof..which isn’t an option in the UK.

There were pre facelift 55 reg cars I suspect OP's sat on a forecourt for a while, esp as the 2.0 was the less popular option.

Although it sounds like poverty spec, a manual roof may actually be an advantage today given all the trouble with submerged roof motors and brittle wiring coming to the fore.

Pros and cons aside, I doubt many buyers would see a manual roof as an advantage or plus.
If you don't need to sell quickly i'd be checking for similar cars and pricing accordingly, taking some cash off as roof is not electric, then putting it up on as many free sites as possible (Be prepared for morons).

If you want a quick sale and as much as possible, ebay at a realistic starting price you'd be happy with and hope to get a few bidding.

I'm surprised Mr Stuart Bigwinn hasn't snapped it up already!
There's definitely still one space on his drive. :poke:

If you look bottom right in pictured manual you will see it mentions Auto roof. Meaning most manuals are printed with all options possible regardless of what vehicle you have. So just because it shows you how to use the roof manually doesn't mean your car just is a manual. Just saying.

its a manual roof no wiring no pump no pipes no nothing manual as per pic as per manual
hope this clears this up
