Just seen the news that the Z4 (07 to 12 ?) are part of the big recall that BMW have just announced.
I'm guessing whatever the problem is you Z4 gurus already know about it so could you please enlighten a potential newbie with some
engineering background on the 'problem'.
Before I splash my hard earned (pension ) on a Z4 circa 08 /09 it would be nice to have some factual inf about this recall.

While I'm not knowledgeable, wise or Z4 experienced, I understand it to be an electrical problem, the connector to the battery fails, the car stops, all electrics fail.

One new plug / connector later off you go.
