I was sent this message - I’ve changed my phone settings.


WhatsApp has changed the group setting to include “everyone” so people you don’t know can add you to a group, especially those loanshark n Betting chats. You can changed your settings
1.go to WhatsApp:
2. Go into Settings
3. Go to Account
4. Go to Privacy
5. Go to Groups
6. Change from (Everyone) to (My Contacts, press（Done)

You can never be too careful these days. I had a call on Thursday, supposidly from EE to discuss my broadband. I'am with them but said it wasn't convenient as was at work so they said would call back next day. In the meantime I noted my account details etc so I could ask them to confirm ensure they were genuine. They never called back. I'm always very wary of any cold calls. It may have just been a coincidence I'm an EE customer.

WhatsApp is owned by Facebook. That should help set your expectations.
