What your OEM calippers COULD look like! :)

Looks great, but I wouldn't have painted the pads though! I made sure when I painted my calipers that the pads were carefully masked off, just looks better in my opinion.

You can see on mine where the pad is still black and the caliper is silver:

I don't think it matters, I just prefer being able to differenciate between pad and caliper.

Oh and the reason I changed from red to silver. God damn brake dust!

I have had mine like that for a few years now. Still look good. I remove the pads when painting the calipers though, pads might stick & not float within caliper. I got slaughtered for sticking white decals on the calipers, but i think they look good !imo

That was my initial worry that the pads might not float and stick.

They look soouch better

Not sure about the sticker though

They are so much easier to clean when they have been painted too

One of my pet hates is bright colour callipers. Black or Silver all the way...

and why have you felt the need to put BMW on them? I think anyone seeing the car may realise it's a BM, what with the badges all over it....

Why not remove the retaining spring and get it chromed - been done on here and looks excellent. Remove the pads and at least paint the outer face matt black. Gives and overall professional look and finish.

I keep mine cleaned with a 1/4 inch paint brush, gets all the brake dust out of the crannies
An Asda Smart price toothbrush

Toothbrushes are massively under-rated as detailing tools. Soft bristles do a great job of the bolts on my 108s and down the panel gaps of the bodywork.

Nice work on the callipers Mr Essex

those bolts are a massive pain in the arse! im almost tempted to buy different wheels simply not to have them!

Toothbrush makes short work of them... And the rest of the wheels are real easy to clean. I am getting sick of cleaning my winter Daisies, so may change back to 108s even though the temperature is still low. As I'm between jobs, I won't be driving early when it's cold anyway :D

Red looks great & the BMW stickers finish it off, each to there own! The world would be a duller place if we all liked the same thing.

Red does look great!

I quite fancy getting black BMW stickers for mine!
