Wouldn't have made others aware if u are serious, looks a serious bargain, though may need new discs, or has it been underwater?

Remind me again what the issue was with the Cayman engine electrics? Enough to scare me off.

Plus even the 3.4 Porker isn't a match for S54 pace ;)

Odd that it's nearly 4 years old and only done 2,000 miles ... I guess for those discs to end up in that state it must have been festering outside?

No the discs are fine. Its normal in a dealership when cars are washed and their appeareance turns rusty since the car is parked immediately.

Check it's also already had a service - I know the ad says it will get one when bought but if it has missed one already, you won't be able to get an extended warranty and would affect resale.

Price seems very keen though....

It is low, we just bought a Kia Soul (Nov 2011) with 3400 miles on the clock. 1 Kia service on time and 1 late service by 2 months done by the garage selling it. You can tell by the condition (inside and out) and the brakes how much its been driven. We dont do very many miles either so it didnt matter too much to us about a low mileage car but this was the only one in the spec we wanted so went for it. I think its usually quite easy to tell the genuine ones, just look for the usual signs and obviously get a HPI done..

If it comes with a warranty then there should be no worries and perfectly normal for the discs to go orange, they do on an everyday car when washed.

I would double check the car hasn't been clocked for peace of mind however these types of cars can often be a play thing so low mileage isn't unusual., Mines coming upto 2 years and on 1921 miles :)

Lovely, the carrera sport wheels suit the cayman... The brake disks look proper rusty though ...

I'll go against the grain here. The mileage being so low for it's age puts me off rather than makes me think "bargain". That's running in mileage and a car needs to be driven regularly and in a variety of ways for many of the internal components, seals etc to bed in properly. 2k miles in 4 years says lots of short journeys or the car has sat for ages between a few long journeys, either way it's not ideal running in usage. If it was a Kia i'd take the risk but on a Porsche where the exposure to high repair costs is pretty big i'd look for a car that had been used and properly cared for.

As for the brakes. Check your own next time you wash your car, i bet they will look like that. It's not unusual and it doesn't mean anything scary.
