So I have my 3.0 2003 that is just done 130k. I have done most of the common faults... and it plods on with no major problems. However it is getting a little long in the tooth and its age and the like is starting to show when working on it... more bolts rusted and more things looking like they will need to be done. However I was looking at options for replacement, I would want to spend no more than £10k. I do 10k a year, has to be all rounder.
I would like another convertible but not essential if it was a fun car, I would love a boxster but the z4 is so cheap to run for parts and the like so don't think that would be. my gf has just bought a mini so don't fancy copying her. a New E89 is too much for a decent nippy one and are they as good in the corners?
I was thinking....
1)TT - ideally a TTS - convertible, faster than my Z4. maybe not a fun?
2)335i/d - sensible and people say 3 series are a drivers car. would be £7k-8k for a nice one.
3)spend the money on my car and maybe get a supercharger and brakes?
I would welcome any other thoughts. I like my car and it still puts a smile on my face just it was a cheap car when I got it and it isn't worth an awful lot.
