What would you do??

I wonder what the crane operator was thinking when he arrived and saw the car parked where he needed to set up his machine!

In my experience these machines generally don't just turn up because it costs too much to have them sitting around while the building owner gets the working area cleared.
 
Looks like the crane is operating away from the car and as above, I bet the area would have been coned off prior to it's arrival. We get t at work, we have part of a street coned off so our contractors can dig up the road and some twat decides the restriction doesn't apply to them :headbang: :headbang:
 
I would have moved my car pdq is what I would have done. Working in dockyard, there are cranes and there like appearing and disappearing all he time. Drivers don't always know they are coming and on occasion there are vehicles parked in a work area. Saw an old mini wrecked by a crane, in Portsmouth dockyard. Driver who I knew, had parked it on the crane track. Doh!
 
What is the crane driver supposed to do though?
Should he wait in the hope that somebody will appear and move the car which might never happen?
Or should he go randomly chapping doors to find out who the owner is?
 
Generally if we were doing any works like this there would be some sort of notice of work distributed. Prior notice of works if you wish. Then we'd barrier the sections off to prevent cars accessing our set up area before the crane even arrived...
