This was on the news and as I understand it the police were screaming at him to stop. Waving arms and stuff... He was looking at them trying to figure out WTF....and then he saw the rockslide at the last second.

I'm on his side a little more, I mean.. there's no excuse for not looking, & it is poor driving, but if he drives that road every single day and suddenly there's heaps going on on the side of the road, it's obviously going to distract him - on a blind left bend... 90% of accidents on roads within a mile of your house etc.

I think it's inexcusable that they can all be stood there and no one thought to mark the road off as a hazard.

The driver is a complete knob, but in his defence was clearly distracted by the cops which took his attention from the road.In the cops defence they cle arly thought he was going to hit it so they shouted at him. On second thoughts, he's still a dick........
