What Tyres???

Well very surprisingly I popped into kwik fit just for a laugh at what they would quote and I told them what I could get them for and they said they would do them for £509 all in! Fitted balanced the lot. I couldn't beleive it haha. Might be asking kwik for a pair instead. Saves faffin about finding a garage to fit them at £10 a corner anyway...

Just make sure that what is fitted is what was ordered.

Speaking from experience - admittedly from a LONG time ago - where I ordered P-Zeros and they fitted P7000s (about a 50% difference in price and performance). Only spotted them when I went over to collect the locking wheel nut key. Then they tried to claim that that's what I'd ordered all along :headbang:

RIght guys....

Just had the Michellin Pilot Super Sports fitted (PSS) in 265 40 18 and i am VERY pleased with the outcome!

Paid £212 a piece off camskill +£6ish P&P then £10 a corner for fitting so circa £450 all in!

even though the tyres havent bedded in fully yet i can feel a great improvement in rear end grip through cornering in both dry and wet!

would definately recomend a set of these to anyone else thinking of what tyre to go for next

and there are also no clearance issues or rubbing problems anywhere....arches take them nicely with plenty of room :D

Just an update on my Pilot Supersports...

The fronts/rears are approaching 20k/18k miles respectively (over about 12 months including 2 x 3-day 'Ring trips) and I've still got 4mm+ all round. Even if they were twice the price of some of the mid-range offerings they'd still be working out at a better £/mile ratio - and you get the benefit of a better/safer tyre.

My only issue with them is that Michelin UK haven't replied to my query about when the 255/40r18 size will be available in the UK, as I know that's putting some people off from trying these :headbang:
