What tyres to put on my z4

Well if it were an E85 I would definitely be putting MPSS or MPS4s on. As it"s an E89 I will leave it to those who know.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or Continental Sport Contact 6 would be the best. Those options are at the higher end of the cost spectrum though.
There's a few people who run cheapo tyres on here that swear by Uniroyal Rainsport tyres so they might be a consideration if you don't have much to spend.

I put a set of these on 3mths ago.... chuffed with them.

Any views on Bridgestone Potenza S001s?
I'm in the same boat needing a full set and noticed Costco have these (non-RF) at £120 Rear (255 35 18) and £94 Front (225 40 18) incl vat and fitting.
Anything else worth considering in the £400-450 bracket?

Save yourself some money without compromising on quality , grip , wear , noise / assuming the stock 255 35 18 + 225 40 18 4 x Vred Vorti on your doorstep for just £330 :o yep  had them on previous ZM , 35i & now have a set on current Carrera4 , i really doubt you could better them for the money
A worthwhile watch for anyone currently after new rubber https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NcenJ0zmAY

Thanks for this. I've heard good things about them too.. I've got Vredstiens on at the moment from the last owner though they're on the limit at 2-3mm and will just scrape through the MoT in a couple of weeks I hope! Assuming it passes with nothing else major, I want to get the MV2s refurbed, so am on a bit of a budget!

Easy. Like many things in life, buy the ones you can't quite afford.

But, if you're rich, just buy the most expensive. In the crowded tyre market, price is a good indicator of quality.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4, nothing comes close for grip, noise, durability and handling. Its a real premiere product.

I have Michelin Sport 4s on my E89 and am really pleased with them. But over the years a lot of us have benefited from the good advice offered by Mr W on wheels and tyres. He helped me find my current wheels. So if your budget is tight I don’t think you will go far wrong if you go with his suggestion.

I have new Vorti Vreds on mine.........as far as grip is concerned I can't even get the DSC light to flicker ! Comfy too. :driving:

Lots of good suggestions here. I recently went with the suggestion I read the most often > Michelin Pilot 4s.
I'm thrilled with them. They are super sticky and the ride is quite comfortable. SOoo much better than the old Potenzas > I highly recommend these.

I went Goodyear Asy 2, then when they wore out, fitted 3 to the rear. Somehow they felt different and wished i had put on some older 2's.
Felt harder.

PS4 PS4S always top of amy review and testing.
PS4 don't come in all sizes for 35i/s so you may have to 9like me) go PS4S
You won't regret it, they wear really well in addition to being the stickiest tyres, especially in the wet.
