What to do near Stoke

All,

Multiple family holiday w/c Mon 25/7 near Stoke, and wonder if any locals have any good tips for Motorsports (or not) events in the locality.

Thinking of Donnington Park Museum (1 hour away) and maybe some Potters Speedway the previous Saturday.

Anyone with any tips?

Oultan park is always worth a visit, there will prob be something on. Other things would be, Snugburys ice cream, the secret bunker is quite good (quite sobering). Nantwich is v nice for a half day visit. Afraid I dont know any places actually in Stoke. Where abouts are u stopping?
 
The monkey forest at trentham gardens, theres always alton towers and Buxton isa nice run out over the derbyshire moors
 
Thanks - Staying in Kingsley Holt, so kids to Alton Towers is a must one day.

Forgot about - Oulton Park, will go see if they have anything on :)
 
Darley Moor race circuit ,is a small club circuit near Ashborne thats not to far away.Mallory Park near Hinkley is about an hour away from Stoke.
 
Hi Tony,

Theres a cracking indian in Kingsley - Thornbury Hall, and another one about 3 miles from you - Roshni i recommend either, both worth a try.

Darley Moor racing is on the Sunday (24th) so you'll miss that.

Mallory Park testing is on Wednesday - 27th, cars in the morning, bikes in the afternoon, you can go as a spectator and wander around the pits etc, used to be a couple of quid to just watch, take some food and drink with you.

Never been to Monkey world but heard its a day out, there's Trentham gardens just by it too, like a garden center + all sorts of small shops around it, quite nice tbh.

I'll amend this as i think of other places :) , if you want co-ords for your sat nav for any of the places let me know and i'll put them up.
