I also think it's the lower bhp 2.5 version - there's one that's about 218bhp . . .

yeah its the 218bhp version 2.5 si Sport...half leather blue trim seats.
tyres are bridgestone brand new....its from a retired city boy whos doesnt use his toy!
one owner from new. even have the original £30k receipt from purchase from BMW
comfort package etc included
bargain i think at £5500
collecting it tomorrow! :D :D :D
 
That should last you for years, just keep an eye on the temp gauge as the electronic water pump will be close to expiring at this age (if it's not already been changed) :thumbsup:

When my pump started to fail I was getting the cooling fan revving up/down from a cold start.
Hooked it up to a reader & implausible pump speed came up.
I was lucky, they don't always give a sign & some have cooked their engines :cry:

i don't have a reader ...is this a good thing to invest in and plug in once in a while?
if so any particular one best for a novice?

I'm not sure a cheapy reader would pick up bmw specific codes like that, mine was connected to an indies (expensive) one, others may know more about the usefulness/capability of more budget versions :thumbsup: As mentioned, it was the odd fan behavior that caught my attention.

Are the plastic side fill ins when roof down standard or are they an after market thing? Sorry if a daft question

They were a bmw accessory, no longer available new & now worth more than their weight in gold :o
You do have to remove them every time you raise the roof though :?
They turn up on here or ebay occasionally where buyers end up giving their right arm for them :popcorn:
