I am one of these people who is constantly on the look out for a new car, to have had the Z almost 2 years is a big achievement for me! Problem is that when you change your car you always lose money. Depreciation on your current car, dealer markup on the new car, mods etc. So my plan is to keep my z for a couple more years and save up for something completely which i REALLY want, which is currently an M6 coupe 
Obviously that is a different kind of car. I think the only credible alternative to the E85 currently is the 987 Boxster.
