Morning all. Above the phone cubby hole is another spring loaded flap that's the same release catch as phone one but it doesn't open anything or serve any purpose !! What the heck is it for???

I'm looking for places to put fags n lighter n sunnies etc!! I've an 06 z4 convertible by the way

Help me solve the release of nothing catch mystery

If it's the flap I think your talking about, the one just below the wind deflector.
It's for the US market, where they sell the Z4 with a non electric roof, it's the release for the manual roof raising.
 
Have a check under your seat, you may find a cubby, if not give up smoking and wear your shades :D
 
Some owners use the first aid box located under passenger seat for extra storage.
you can also purchase another first aid box that fits under the drivers seat, if you really want to go to town!
 
give up smoking!! i wish it was that easy.. as fior shades, onl storage i need is when i leave them in the car! and what a car!

i just wish the headlight washers wernt so crayp.. oh and the style 108's wernt so cheaply laquered !! apart from that, lovely!
