But the sun rarely shines in the UK, I'm confused......All the tourists I've seen in Mexico, Mallorca and the Caribbean are fishbelly white :poke: :poke: :poke:

I'll put it down if it's sunny and above 6 C, only for short drives, highway is out below 12 C, too much wind chill.

Think I managed -5°c last month. Advantage of having a good collection of snowboarding apparel

Like you I also snowboard, so am pretty well insulated lol :P Couple of Base Layers and a Beanie + Shades (Happy Days) + Light Gloves

Heated Seats helps too! Currently -3

OK mods, name and shame time: who are the 10 wusses who voted 17degC?

(I'm just jealous because if I only dropped my roof when it was above 17degC I'd NEVER get the roof down )

I purchased my car in december and i've never actually put the roof down and driven the car yet...So i can't Answer :(

That's my luck really... Purchased my first convertible...And it's been one of the most Rainy/Snowy/Cold years i can remember..

There's something great about top down motoring when it's a cold frosty sunny morning. Pistonheads woolly hat on, bum warmers up to toasty and heater full blast. The sound from the exhausts seems louder in Winter as well ....fantastic.

I'll put my hand up as one of them :D

I know how you feel - i picked mine up in Jan, and only had the roof down twice - once for literally a minute to see if it worked, then another time for a 10 min drive - its was 3 degrees on a sunny sunday morning!

It's still only 6 c outside but I was thinking about dropping the top today, tomorrow morning I'll drop it to go to Starbucks for the GF's inoculation of caffeine. (Have to get her a latte or the whole day goes to sh*t in a hurry.. ) There;s hardly anyone around then to point and say "look at that idiot". :D

Perfect weather this weekend for top down cruising (up to 9.5C today and yesterday afternoon in NW Calgary). I just keep back from other cars a bit to let the spray from the melting snow puddles settle before I drive through it.

Was cruising around listening to the hockey on the radio with the roof down - Canada 3, USA 2, 14th Gold, GoCanadaGo!

Had the top down today, took a hiway drive to get some dinner, 9.5 deg C, nice !. Had it down yesterday for a spin round town, actually got some colour in the cheeks. Damn it's nice to feel the sun again....

Aerobod - I'm in the NW (Tuscany) We need to get a Calgary section going eh?

Great game, I'm really feeling "Golden" today.

There was an Z4 / BMW get-together in Calgary last year, I had an invite but couldn't go. I'll see if I can dig up the organizer details. I'm in The Hamptons, BTW.
