What stubby aerial

I've never understood the need for a stubby.
I completely removed my aerial & replaced it with a plain black screw to seal it up.
My radio reception is perfect?

Guess you haven't tried getting AM reception then? There is a 2nd dedicated FM aerial in the rear bumper, so as long as you don't want to listen to AM you can do what you like with the whip/stubby.

What stubby genuine BMW aerial fits the z4mc ??

This is the one I bought

http://www.amazon.co.uk/BMW-Genuine-Sports-Aerial-Antenna/dp/B008FPTWR4

Well it's made for the car so the fit is perfect.

Finish is plain (mat iirc) black just like the bottom part of the whip arial.

Just a word of advice, the BMW OEM one is no longer made in 105mm spec abd hasn't been for almost 4 years. There are none avalible and the one in the Amazon link is now the 83mm version which has the same part number. I've pointed this out to BMW as I tried for ages to locate a new 105mm one only to find all listed as 105mm were 83mm ones being supplied.

Thanks for the info gonna put a order in,the one on my car just doesn't look right

I just bought mine. On the E89 It is a Pug/Citroen part (as is the fishing rod). It is the same part as the 607 (and various others). It cost me £5 and fits and works perfectly. If you are interested I will dig out the part number. I think it isnthe same as the E85/6 as the part number is quite old.
