i was thinkin about somethings for the future, i just bought my Z4 7 months ago it's 2003 and runs 55000 and i'm thinkin of tunning it up but i'm having a hard time contacting the companies, and know they r saying there is a new Z4 coming out don't know when ?!

one of my friends told me to wait until the new Z4 comes and i replace it with mine, but i don't know if i can afford the new one and i really would like to tune up my car, so if i tune it up would that bring down the price of selling it ?!

or i can tune it up and then when i want to sell it i but back the OEM parts ?!! can i do that ?!!

plz i need ur opinions :?

From Past experience Modding your car tends to de value it unless you find someone like yourself looking for one with a bit of extra grunt.

One things for sure you will never get the money you paid on the mods back.

If your happy with your car and aren't sure about getting a new one, just do what you want to yours and dont worry about selling it.

"tune it up" what did you have in mind???

If you're modifying your car, you will not increase the value of the car.
In most cases it will narrow the target market and make it more difficult to move.
Generally it's far better to restore to OE condition(keep the OE parts when modding) & sell the mod parts.
Good quality aftermarket parts will generally sell for 50% of retail.

re: next gen Z4
JMO but I think you'll see it move more up market ($$$)
There is some speculation that this will leave room for BMW to bring out a Z2.

well i was thinkin of supercharging it and install an exhaust system.

i know that when u mode ur car it won't increase the price, i was going to keep the original parts and when i'm ready to sell then i'll replace them is that what u were saying ?!

Tune it, have fun, remove the mods, then sell the car. That's basically my plan but a bit different. I think that by the time I have it tuned (when the warranty is up next year), I'll love it too much, and the value (even after removing the mods) won't make it worth selling.

I'm gonna keep pushing this until someone does it. Not sure if you have 3.0 or 2.5, but esstuning.com just released their new versions for superchargers for both models. Their second stage system get the 2.5 to 315 HP and the 3.0 to 355 HP...that's Z power for a fraction of the cost!!!!

So someone, ANYONE!?!... PLEEAASSSEEE put in a supercharger and tell me all the juicy details!! I'm not gonna stop asking until someone does! :D

i have a 3.0, yeah i saw the ess supercharge but i'm having a hard time contacting them. really can't wait to tune it :driving:

i also would like to change my brake system any good ones ?!
