What should i be spending?

Hi guys,

Following on from my numerous (and probably now hugely annoying posts) i am gradually settling on the z4 i want to go for more. It looks like the best plan on action is an early 3.0l roadster model to get me into z4 ownership quicker but with some decent power under the bonnet! I'm just wondering what kind of money people think i should be spending in the current market?

I'm still yet to fully convince my family a new car is a good idea, they just look at me and smile sarcastically. So i imagine it will still be at least a year until this can happen. Still nice to browse auto trader, piston heads and this forum etc. to get up to speed with z4 knowledge etc.

Thanks again,

Barny

If it's going to be at least a year, just keep doing what you're doing and watch the markets. I can't say I'd be too bothered on people's current opinions of prices on a car I might buy in a year! FWIW, a tidy early 3.0i SE should be around £5.5k if the miles aren't high for the year. A lot of car for the cash.

If you can buy over enter, more likely to pick up a bargain as prices do drop and there are harder to shift.

I realise this was a bit of a stupid question given my timescale. But more Importantly certain times of the year when perhaps prices drop so i could make an impulse purchase? By enter do you mean *easter srhutch?

Bloody Auto Carrot, I meant winter :headbang:

Haha i guess that makes sense especially with roadster models. Will keep an eye especially later in the year then
