What sensor am I missing?

Got my new to me 2003 Z4 3.0i up on Jack stands. Wheels are off to get the 11 year Bridgestones replaced. When I first got it I noticed a lose wire hanging out of the drivers side front bumper, just tucked it back under the bumper and not I’m investigating it. Looks like there is a temperature sensor under there and something else is missing that this wire should be connected to as well as the plastic assembly is cracked and needs some TLC.
Anyway, so what is that wire supposed to be connected too?

Thanks
Britt

I have no idea but I'm going to guess with it being for parking sensors.

What am I thinking. Terrible guess, Z4's don't come with them

It is the thermal sensor for the heated headlight washer jets.
Part number 61318370747
Thanks Zedebee, looks like the part can be had around $50, not sure I need it in Alabama though. If its below freezing we just stay in the house close to a fire place! :-)
Just wondering what you used to look that up. This is my first BMW, been an Audi guy for a long time, type 44s (5000/200 Turbo Quattros) and D2s (A8/S8). Is there something like the VAG EKTA (Family Album) for BMW that I can browse though drawings to look up parts, online or to install locally?
Thanks Again.

It was hard to find that particular sensor, but all the drawings and part numbers are here:
