H hsyben Member Today at 6:46 PM #1 Does anyone know what engine Revs give the best fuel efficiency in a 2.5l, M54, 5 Speed? I usually cruise at between 2500 and 3000 rpm in 5th but the power band is 3000 upwards? Anyone got data?

I suspect you were asking what's the best fuel economy measured in miles per gallon.. Since drag is in simple terms the square of the speed it will be as slow as possible in a gear that is way less than peak torque
