What other series seats fit a 2003 E85?

Wondering if seats from another series will fit my roadster as I can't find a set of M-Sport seats for it? (Or the squabs and seat backs to fit my frames which are electric, heated seats?)
 
Yorkie Z fitted red S2000 sports seats with mods and some have used after-market seats but the consensus was that other BMW models are probably too narrow or bulky.

Sorry about the crap picture. I did have S2000 seats but since I have the attention span of a small child I decided to see if E89 seats fit. Verdict........ Yes they do, perfectly. Super comfy and lots of support, look great :thumbsup:

What did you do about door cards?
 
Did you write a how too for this Yorkie z? Any airbag issues or just bolt in bolt out?

Way better looking than the S2000, looking good :thumbsup:
 
The colour match of the e89 seats to the e85/6 red door cards is very similar if not identical, btw I have sat in these seats and they are incredibly comfortable but the air bolsters really did it for me :thumbsup:

I appreciate this is a really old post. I was on the forum a few years ago but can’t seem to find my details or reactivate my account.
I have a e85 z4 3.0 and the seats don’t do my back any favours. Just wondering if I could get a bit more info on what’s needed to get e89 seats into an e85?
I’m pretty handy with electronics and can turn my hand to most things but don’t weld...yet
I ask particularly as I’ve seen other people say the rails are different widths and the seat occupancy module is different. Can you just fit the seat cushions into the e85 frames? I seem to remember someone saying the seat back attaches to the e85 frame the same way. Can the pins from the modules be switched if the connector is different?

I preaciate I’ve come on here with no posts or feedback but any advice would be very much appreciated
