Morning All

What oils do you guys use when its time for a service

Engine
Gearbox
Rear Axle???
Looking to change the oils inbetween the service intervals.
 
Might help to explain what engine and gearbox you have for those of us lacking clairvoyance? :thumbsup: :tumbleweed: :rofl:
 
BMW spec longlife 17 FE+ for N20 engines
MTF-LT-3 for maunal gearbox
Hypoid Axle Oil G5 for diff

Some specialists like Opie are a good source of advice

17FE oils are designed for protection of pollution control equpment and fuel econpmy and are 0W-20

Providing you change your oil frequently then any oilo meeting API-SN or later and in the range 0W-30 are good to go..

ESTER based oils are the ebst but probably over kill for stock N20
