What next?

Many of you know I have now sold my Z. The question is what to do next?

We have a 1 series 120d M Sport coupe, which is a great car and well speced. We also have a 320d M Sport touring, which is the family work horse.
Ideally I would like something that combines the Z and the 120. Something sporty has a semi back seat, enough to strap baby seat in.
M3 is out, insurance, tax, fuel etc.
So what else is out there worth considering?
 
we have a TT, TDI. tends to be my wife's car while I have the zed.

good all round on performance and economy, seems to fit the spec you are looking for. the back seats are a bit of a joke (small) so try them out before buying. one of the main things I like about it is the large cargo space available with the back seats dropped down and the hatchback access door.
 
Any coupe will be a ball ache to get the kid in when they get to about 2. Trust me. My wifes parents have a 3 series cab and they can not get my son in the seat and when they do (I usually have to do it for them) he kicks the crap out of the back of the seat which is extremely annoying. It was a piece of piss when he was 1 but it's completely useless now he's a bit bigger.

I'd be going hot hatch.
 
911 has a semi back seat, you can get a classic 993 for that money :D would be worthwhile investment imo, i reckon they're a future appreciating asset!
