Had the car 5 days now....

1. Bought a 500ml can of Holts tyre weld
2. Ordered a Ring RAC 630 compressor
3. Ordered a BMW roof cleaning kit (expensive but having read difefrent thereads seemed the right thing to do)
4. Ordered some Glipstoen Scuffmaster to help sort the drivers seat bolster marks

What next?

Not sure (other than replacing the 2 rear Bridgestone RFs for Falkens)
My son loves the detailing stuff and wants to do that with me so will leave the choices of that to him.

Do I need a short shift M Gear lever knob?
Do I really need a stubby aerial?
What option for my I Phone? Just an Aux cable to charge it or one of the diffeent head unit integration units? Not sure as have CD changer on standard Business radio so maybe not worth it?

Probably that should do it...

However any other ideas welcomed please

Stubby is a must, shows your a true forum member :fuelfire:

keep the head unit and get some form of ipod intergration such as aux, dension, intravee etc...

Short shift is good, just be careful when tugging your knob as it can be very painful

Cheers Red law-retired so daytime is for driving & nightime is for plotting and remembering the joys of tugging..........

What is the thing about the stubby by the way? What's the benefit?

Dice duo could be an option - do he dension/intravee/Dice forgo my installed multi CD player?

Thanks!

I agree short shift knob makes a nice difference, would also recommend the centre console from www.leatherz.com, extra storage and makes long drives much more comfortable.

As for the Iphone I went with the Parrot MKI9200 - as you can keep your CD changer and you get USB/iphone connectors with it. It also has bluetooth, which is a must if your car didn't come with it.

that should keep you happy for a while...

Not sure one can is enough, made for 15" wheels. Bought two myself, half price in Tescos at present!!

Yes tried my local Tescos to no avail. Bought the 500 ml can from Halfords "for larger cars" only to find that on thd Halfords web site it says for 16 in tyres and 2 cans required for larger wheels (I have 18 in) . Will try another Tescos for 2 x 400 and return to Halfords for refund methinks!

Alan- replaced 2 worn front Bridgestones with Falkens -just the rears still Bridgestones. Ordered the 2 Falkens for the rear. Now got the tescps 2 x 400 half price Holts and took the 500 back to Halfords for refund. The RAC compressor arrived today so now good to go! Thanks Hotride/Taz/;Steve -will look into!

if you have a CD changer and a business radio the best thing to do and cheapest is:

buy one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-car-Audio...cessories_FM_Transmitters&hash=item43a7ae8a33

and on of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-Car-Charg...218?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item45fb2bb1da

do the AUX mod and its all sorted, charges, audio, wont affect your cd changes, costs like £15 altogether, still use your iphone interface, works with any idevice (i hid all of this behind the dash so I just have the iphone connection sticking out :)
