What lockdown?

I can say that I have strictly observed the lockdown but going to the Tesco click n collect over the last two Sunday collection days I’ve noticed that the volume of traffic seems as it was before March last year, the car park for the adjacent retail park was 75% full.
(Durham area)

They wonder why it’s going tits up again.

It nothing like the first lockdown here either. Still lots of traffic on the roads. Last time I could walk across the A38 no trouble to escape town. Not this time too busy today. Making walks from home a whole bunch more difficult to plan. :?

Anyone else see the Spurs coach arriving at yesterdays game with Marine Fc ? :? utterly mind blowing how those in charge think football should carry on right now  hundreds if not thousands of fans 6/7 deep shoulder to shoulder lining the streets yet no one fined & no sign of them being dispersed by the police , bet it wouldn't happen in Derbyshire  :P

It’s not like it was in March... it’s not locked down. Things like garden centres are open and many other shops. Lots of traffic on the roads too.
I live in a small market town in the south east and both the town and roads were busy over the weekend. Where are all these people going? Although given the news that’s appeared over the weekend, it seems stricter measures may be just around the corner.

I drove a couple of miles on Saturday to a local Country Park and had a distanced walk with a mate and when we got back to the car park it was almost full - it never was pre-Covid!

Still the A-Road that runs behind the back of my house did seem a bit quieter today than it was last week - I'd like to hope the message is getting through.

But the forecast is for mostly rain for the next 3 days so that should keep people at home.

I think a lot of people have just had enough of it. Must be tough if you have young kids at home.

Its bad eh.. its those poor sods working in the nhs i feel sorry for, they must despair when they see the amount of people about, its going to be a long slog turning things around this time.. 3 months last time to get under control somewhat and that with the less virulent strain and people being more compliant

Its seems quiet here in S.Wales as most things are shut but still traffic about with people going on walks.

At least Sansburys and Morrisons are finally going to do something about the Covidiots not wearing masks in store

I'm very much done with it, being reasonably cautious but I'm going out as and when I want to, will probably catch it eventually but the odds are in my favour

You might be ok but what about any older people that are unfortunate enough to come into contact with you!

I hope you don’t catch it - but there are more and more of you young pups going into hospital now - come on now, do your bit.

I'm probably technically sticking to the rules since I'm allowed a social "bubble" but I actually have no idea, I dont really know what the rules are anymore, Im past it all :idunno:

Your just being a provocative idiot.

I work in the car industry working in a main dealer, we are all doing our part working in support bubbles and sanitising/social distancing. I don't go out in the evenings and if i go out on the weekend its to either work, wash or drive the car and go food shopping or exercise.

The traffic round London seems to be at similar levels as normal from what i can see, obviously reduced some what at rush hours but yes.

People have become complacent with everything and im all for tighter measure's and fines to be issued as many (KIDS) really don't care. :headbang:

Our household has got Covid.... my wife, daughter, son and myself.

Haven’t been anywhere, part from Sainsbury’s for food shop and all masked up, own bags to shop with and washed hands afterwards.. very quiet in the village where I live and no one around.

Super careful, and still got it. This new variant seems it’s made of iron.

I’ve not long been out of hospital before xmas with 4 quadrant peritonitis due to burst appendix ( which was left for 24 hours and I was sent home as they didn’t think it was burst, but a shadow on my bowel) and severe sepsis...nearly finished me off and was on oxygen for a week with tubes coming out of me everywhere.

The youngest kids have got it worse than us parents (22 and 19) ..my wife is front line NHS and was going into ITU next week for Covid adults...a lot of patients are young and fit, but definitely seems to target weaknesses in your body....all of them have different symptoms.

I haven’t got any symptoms at all, nothing....which by rights I should be finished as my immune system was massively compromised and still is. I had health on my side though, but to show no symptoms is bizarre.

It’s not how young and healthy you are, it’s a lottery of how it affects you.
