What kind of mileage do Zed owners do ?

I've only covered just over 2k in 3 years of ownership. I use it a couple of times most weeks and even when I Sorn it over winter it still gets moved about on the drive.
Rarely seen rain since I've had it and always garaged. Now the cars are older, Is my experience becoming the norm or are there people out there who daily drive and bang miles on ?

Came as a bit of a surprise when I MOT'd this year only to realise I did just over 1000 miles in 12 months. In fairness a little light on the norm but in 6 years of ownership I've only done 14000 and in fairness it is predominately a weekend/holiday car.

I'd say most people do about 3-4k pa on the Zed. Obviously some more, and some less.
For some it's a second car, garage queen, etc. so fewer miles are expected. If you do a lot of driving for work, then the Z4 isn't so practical because of the space limitations? Whether its internal passenger space, or rear boot space. So it'll literally only be a handful of Zeds doing more than 10k pa IMO.

I’ve owned mine a few days over two years and got the car on 25K my mileage is now sat on 44444

I only ever use it at weekends and on the odd week night so it seems to marry up with what Kis said.

If I had a job where I could drive it to work, I wouldn’t care about the mileage going up drastically. Life’s too short :driving:

Once a car is over a certain age the mileage means nothing anyway.
A 30-40 year old car will most likely have had an engine rebuild and most parts replaced, so not really an issue.
I owned a Triumph TR6 for 11/12 years and for 7 of those the Speedo didn't work, but the car was sound and it didn't affect the price when I sold it

For me driving my zed is a treat (I have an old mondeo for work and family), and drive it purely for fun and or time out with the mrs away from the kids!

My Zed is for weekends, holidays and the occasional trip into work when the weather is fine. As above, it is a treat and I have a 'snotter' for my daily and an estate for family duties. I've had the car about 5 months and have done approx 2500 miles. I can't see that going up very much over the winter. So over the course of a year I reckon it'll be about 3-5k.

Take mine out when it's dry and I've got some spare time. I'll be lucky to cover 2k pa I'd think.

The ‘Z’ is a fun car for driving when the weather is suitable. We are retired and have made good use of it since purchase in July because the Summer has been so good. Once the weather changes the car will stay in the garage on a trickle charger and only be driven on dry days when there is no salt on the roads. However, I am not going to make the same mistake I made with my Cayman. At 7 years old it only had 5000 miles on the clock. Just a waste of a good car because I became too focussed on keeping the mileage low. I am expecting, like a good number of Forum members, to be doing between 3-5 thousand miles per annum.

Bought mine in April 2014 on 24k and it’s now on 80k 4.5 years later. It’s always been a daily, and since a new job in February I am doing 230 miles a week just commuting most weeks. Does the job just fine. Ocassionally I hanker after a wafty saloon in stop start traffic on the M25, then I give myself a slap and get over it.

lets see, 8 trackdays averaging 200 miles to get there, and 200 miles on track... annual mileage approx. 3,200miles, of which half is on track.

just did Spa and back no worries, 1100 miles all in, including 300 miles on track, happy days! :D

I bought mine 3.5 years ago with 53.5k on the clock and now almost 77k on it :D I use it occasionally during the week but mainly at weekends :driving:

Done just over 1500 miles in mine since March. It will be sorn in a couple of weeks for the winter so thats about it this year. Being sensible its not worth keeping, but I like having the roof down in summer :)

I thought the annual miles would reduce as the ///MR got older. That has not happend though. I am still putting on 7-8k per year. Weekend driving is just too much fun around these parts, plus an annual outing to some where. Either Scotland or Europe. :D :driving:

My Zed is kept in the garage, typical garage queen lol. I look forward to a sunny day off so that my wife and I can enjoy the car as a treat. Usually a run into the west coast highlands, nice bit of lunch or dinner then a nice cruise home in the evening.
I wouldn't have this as an every day car, it would spoil it for me. Mileage is currently low 40k,
