What is wrong with this countries laws?

I don't think there is much wrong with this country's laws.

The problem lies in the European Human Rights Act which we observe and comply with in full.
Whereas countries such as Italy and France tell the European court to "feck off and to hell with the consequences."

I find this entire affair frankly embarrassing. The UK is being made to look utterly useless in the eyes of every other country out there.

Stick the little twerp on a plane to Jordan and say thank you very much goodbye. Then let Jordan arrest him and try him. There will be a bit of shouting from some tree hugging hippies in europe and then they will shut up a go away.

We need to show a firm hand that if you come to this country and play by the rules then that is just fine, come here break those laws you will be sent home regardless of consequences :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

X 2 opens up the old debate of should we stay or should we go.

Leaving Europe gets my vote, I think we are better off alone.

+1.

I say we stick the prick in the back of a Herc, fly him over Jordan at, say, a few hundred feet, then tell him he has a choice. Either he jumps out the back without a parachute, or, we land the plane and hand him over.

I feel it's a good idea for two reasons, 1. It solves the problem. 2. It's a big F*** you to the echr, which is always a good thing

At the risk of starting something...

I have no love for Abu Qatada and his messages of hate. However he has not been charged with anything in this country let alone convicted, yet he's treated as a criminal.

So, if our government and police are that certain he's been a naughty boy, arrest him, charge him, try him and then if found guilty, imprison him and/or throw him out. Until then he's as entitled to the same protection in law as you or I, and I for one would not want to be prosecuted for anything where the evidence has been obtained under duress.

Just sayin'

Stuart, it's a good point and technically you are correct. However what right does he have to remain in this country? He's not a citizen has no visa and openly preaches hate and contempt for the UK, surely these are grounds to show him the door.
