Under the armrest of my car is a leather / vinyl pouch is this standard or has the previous owner put it there and what is it for? Also just curious but what do you put in the cubby box with shelfs behind the seats? I've got nothing in mine at the moment LOL.

Got one too - so OEM not stuck on - probably for a phone or something - a bobble hat and cap live in the cubby hole- one for winter top down one for summer top down 👍

Got one, too. (It's OE, by the way, and not OEM. OE comes with the car, OEM is from the manufacturer who made it for BMW but isn't supplied by BMW.)

The cubby hole in mine holds spare shooting glasses that double as sunglasses when driving into the sun.
 
It's for those going through a mid life crisis and bought a roadster. A place to store their Viagra. Dont ask me how I know :D :cry:
 
The pouch is for an iPod or similar. The slot allows the cable to exit and plug into the connectors.

Do none of you RTFM :lol:
 
I did look in the manual, I guess I must have missed it :oops: A good idea for back in the days of the iPod but the part doesn't look like OE, I honestly thought the last owner had stuck it there. :lol:
 
I took the shelf out of mine and put one of these tyre slime kits in there & fits perfectly.

Looks like the previous owner stuck a Z4 badge in your cabin. That's certainly not supposed to be there :rofl:
 
I keep sun glasses, wallet, a printed copy of the fuse box layout, phone, all sorts a nice lockable hidden cubbyhole is that.

I didn't realise it was lockable.

That's a good idea, I have the same one in the boot at the moment.
 
and you were sitting inside the car when you locked it ?
its possible it needs telling i suppose, but its always been locked for me
 
Yes exactly, got in locked the car but it opens. I saw in the manual it said that the centre console locks when you lock the car but I can't recall anything about the cubby or the glove box locking upon locking the car.
